India) and St Stephen's College (Delhi,
India) he has a Master's degree in Arts. He was also a member of Mayo college general council and member of the board of governors of the college.
Succeeded on the death of his father Maharao Bhim Singh on 20 July 1991.
Politics: Got elected to Lok Sabha (lower house of Indian parliament) 1962-67 and 1967-70. Member of ZiIa Parishads (district body) of Kota and Jhalawar 1962-77.
Profession: Was a Director of The Bank of Rajasthan Ltd and Chairman of Kotah Central Co-operative Bank for some time.
Hobbies: Photography, painting, hunting, reading, motoring and gliding.
Sports: Was a top trap shooter In All-India National Championships.
Married (1st time) 05 December 1956 (divorced) Maharani Maheshwari Devi (daughter of Maharawat Ram Singh of Pratapgarh). Married (2nd time) 21 May 1963 Maharani Uttara Devi (daughter of Maharaj Kumar (prince) Indrajitendra Narayan of Cooch Behar).
